Steve Nagy is Shareholder at Montgomery Little & Soran. He represents clients in a wide range of real estate matters including transactions and litigation. He regularly assists clients in transactions, leasing, eminent domain, access and boundary conflicts, title disputes, breach of contract claims, development matters, and natural resource issues. Mr. Nagy prides himself on understanding each client’s unique business and personal goals and developing the most efficient strategies to help achieve them.
Mr. Nagy has over a decade of private sector experience. Before joining Montgomery Little & Soran, Mr. Nagy was a partner at a boutique Denver law firm specializing in eminent domain and condemnation litigation and commercial transactions. Previously, he worked at a law firm specializing in oil and gas leasing, title, and permitting issues. Mr. Nagy began his legal career in the public sector as a Colorado Assistant Attorney General representing agencies in the Department of Natural Resources. He also served as a transactional attorney for the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund (GOCO), where he handled over sixty lottery-funded property acquisitions of urban parkland, trails, agricultural conservation easements, and water rights.
Mr. Nagy is a member of the Colorado Bar Association Real Estate Section Executive Council, where he serves on the Continuing Legal Education Committee (chair), Publications Committee, and Community Service Committee. Mr. Nagy also serves on legislative task forces responsible for reviewing bills related to eminent domain, landlord/tenant matters, natural resources, and record title.
Mr. Nagy is an avid fly fisherman who enjoys camping and spending time on the water with his wife, children, and dogs. He volunteers with The Mayfly Project, a nonprofit organization that mentors children in foster care through fly fishing.
